Cellular Phones – Things to Consider When Buying a Phone

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Susan_Daniel]Susan Daniel Staying connected with a cell phone has become a way of life for most people. As a result, there are many types of cell phones on the market. Knowing what is important to you in a phone can help you decide which cell phone to purchase. The following is a list of things to consider. 1. The size and weight of the phone. Some people like the smallest phone they can buy while others want something substantial. 2. A phone with or without a flip cover. A flip cover can protect your keypad, but it may also be cumbersome. 3. The option to use the phone with a speakerphone. This is especially helpful while driving and talking on the phone. 4. A phone with a built in camera. You can be prepared to capture that great shot at any time. 5. Color display. Color really helps when surfing the web and taking digital pictures. 6. A phone with a built in PDA. Stay organized and have phone numbers at your fingertips. Check your schedule and talk on the phone at the same time. 7. Your budget. Cell phones range in prices, but usually are less expensive when also purchasing service. 8. Overseas usage. You may not need this often, but when you do, it’s very convenient. 9. Text messaging capability. This is another great way to keep in touch. 10. Accessing the Web. Stay connected to the web and look up information anywhere, anytime. 11. Ability to use your phone as a walkie-talkie. This is good for quick conversations. 12. Ability to download unique ringtones. Make your phone fun by choosing your favorite song as your ringtone. 13. An MP3 player. Take your favorite tunes with you wherever you go. As you can see, there are many options available in a cell phone. Of course, the more options you choose for your phone, the more expensive it becomes. But if you want to stay connected, youll be sure to find the best phone for you if you consider all the options. Accentuate Your Home with an Address Plaque

By John Morris Address plaques are a generally classy way of being able to add that something extra when it comes to beautifying one’s home. There are actually all sorts of address plaques that one can choose from. What’s really great about this is that a lot of address plaque companies also offer a custom made service wherein you will be able to get the design for the address plaque that you really want enabling you to have something that is uniquely your own. If, however, you are not interested in going through all that trouble just for an address plaque then there are a lot of the generic address plaques that are being sold in hardware stores as well as a lot of other home specialty stores. Still, even though they are considered generic, these kinds of address plaques have a myriad of available designs that you can choose from. This, however, leaves the possibility of you having the same kind of address plaque as your neighbor as well. Address Plaque Benefits: – Suits big houses – People who are driving around can immediately see your lawn address even from afar – Can be placed at the front of the house or on the lawn – Beautify your home House numbers are also a popular choice for address plaques and are actually the simplest ones in the market. Lastly, there are the special application address markers, though they are already a different type of address plaque. They are still popular among homeowners since they give their houses that unique touch. This kind of address plaque can either be put on mail boxes or your fence. Basically you can choose whichever place you want since these types of address plaques are custom made, and usually medium size. Civil Disobedience and Riots – Learn to Protect Yourself

By Michael Cooper Preparing yourself for riots and looting. Civil disobedience is nothing new in the United States and now look what is happening in France and other western European countries. As a law abiding person what do you do to prepare yourself for such an event? Here is what I have done. 1. Do not live or work in areas that have people who are prone to riot. There are certain cities that I do not travel to, let alone live in them. Your reaction plan to riots can be minimal if you stay away from troubled areas. There are people in the world that are looking for an excuse to riot and loot. Just look at New Orleans then Toledo, Ohio. 2. If you live in an area where riot might occur then you need to have a plan. Make a plan before the riots happen. Learn how to protect yourself and your family. In most riot prone areas civil authorities will be of no help when you need it most.. Do not depend on a quick response from law enforcement or rescue and fire services. Historically rioters like to shoot at these people. 3. I have a plan for the area where I live. The nearest riots of recent history in this area are 55 to the south in Miami. I am safe from this area due to the distance involved for rioters to get here. The nearest block of possible rioters are over 1 mile away from me and do not think there would attack my walled-in housing project. They would have more to loot by going to the beachside mansions to the east. I am still ready for almost any type of civil disobedience. 4. My main source of defense are firearms. I have a 12 gauge sawed-off shotgun, a semiautomatic (AR15) rifle, and a 38 police special pistol. I have at least 200 rounds of ammunition for each weapon. I do have a bowie knife that I carried in Vietnam. This may sound like an arsenal to some people but I do not intend to be outgunned by the criminal element that may exist in my city. Rioters find support in numbers but are cowards at heart. As dangerous as they may seem just remember that most of these types have room temperature IQs. 5. If I have to draw my weapons I will do so from cover and concealment. I will not stand out in the open and give some doped up thug a clear shot at me. The best way to bust up a crazed mob is rapid fire into the group. Remember a mob of minus IQ looters is not a trained army. I intend to protect my property. Your plan may be much more complex than mine depending on you situation. The news media in my area usually commiserates with the rioters. I dont. You have a right to protect yourself and your family. I would not like to use deadly force but at least I have the option. Remember the Los Angeles riots when thugs pulled a man out of a truck and nearly beat him to death? I am sure most of you have seen the video tape of this incident. One brick wielding maniac was caught and tried. Did you know he was found innocent as his defense lawyer said the bum was caught up in the moment and did not know what he was doing. The no brain jury bought off on this argument. Jesus Never Preached Poverty

By Rob Marshall A recent Time magazine cover had a picture of a Rolls Royce with a cross as the hood ornament. The headline read: “Does God Want You To Be Rich?” The article talked about a trend that is developing within the American church to preach what some call the “Prosperity Gospel.” I sometimes wonder what all the controversy is about. I remember going to a meeting with some other Christians and listening to the preacher talk about God’s blessings. After the event was over, one of the people I was breathed a sigh of relief and said, “For a minute there I was worried that he was going to start preaching health and wealth.” I believe that I understand what this person was getting at, but I have to ask: “Would you have felt better if he had preached sickness and poverty?” There is a lot of confusion around the topic of God’s blessings in our lives and what it means to live an abundant life. And I have no doubt that some preachers are simply teaching something that a lot of people want to hear, and they may not be all that sincere. But I also believe that God wants to bless His people, and no they don’t have to wait until they get to heaven, and yes they can, and should, create and enjoy wealth in this life. A story from the Gospels that is often cited when talking about the evils of riches is the story of the rich young ruler. This young man came to Jesus asking about what he needed to do so that he could have eternal life. (Matthew 19:16-26) What I find interesting is that Jesus answered his question in some very odd ways. If we look at it from a “Christian” point of view, He said some things that really don’t make sense. The first thing he told him was to obey the commandments. That’s odd because Paul tells us in Galatians 2:16 that no man will be justified by obeying the law, but through faith in Christ. And I know that some people may say, “Yeah, but this was before Jesus died on the cross.” Still, even the Old Testament taught that the righteous live by faith. Even Abraham was justified in God’s eyes because of his faith. God’s word has always taught that we are justified by faith and not by works. But even this young man realized that obeying the law wasn’t enough because when Jesus gave him a list of commandments that he was to obey, he replied, “‘All these I have kept,’ the young man said. ‘What do I still lack?’” (Matthew 19:20) It was then that Jesus said, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” (Matthew 19:21) The story goes on to say that this man went away sad because he had great wealth. Now before we begin to think that Jesus just told this man he could earn his way in to heaven by giving his money away, let’s take a look at what Jesus said. He just gave this man an incredible promise. He told him that, if he would give his earthly wealth away, he would have treasure in heaven. Jesus wasn’t trying to find out if this man was too attached to his wealth, He was pointing out that this man didn’t really believe in heaven. Let me ask you a question. If God said to you, “Sell everything that you have here on earth, where moths eat it, rust corrupts it, and thieves steal it, give it to the poor and I’ll make sure you can enjoy it forever,” what would you say? Well, if you believed in heaven you’d say, “You got a deal!” This young man, and everyone who trusts in their earthly wealth more than in their heavenly treasures, will have a hard time getting into heaven. Jesus wasn’t preaching to this man that he needed to earn his way into heaven by being poor, He taught us all that our faith, what we really believe, is displayed by our actions. The Need for More Effective Alzheimers Drugs

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Morgan_Hamilton] Morgan Hamilton Aging can really take its toll on the human body. We would not dread getting older so much if it didn’t include the deterioration of our body. Well, at least I can live with the fact that we can acquire oodles of knowledge as we grow older. We would be good to go if we could just find a way to keep our bodies like they were at age 20. Then again, if these were the case, then we’d all be living forever. The problem is that there’s clearly not enough room on this planet for that. If we could somehow obliterate all the brain disorders, then we can probably live our 75-90 years to the fullest. In my humble opinion, that would be a great start because we all know that new-age Alzheimers drugs just aren’t doing the trick for everyone. Do you know your chances of acquiring Alzheimers disease? If you dont, then you should know that your chances are about 50/50, once you’ve hit the ripe old age of 85. I know that you think that its horrible because it’s basically a coin toss. There’s got to be a better way of steering clear of this atrocious mind disorder. I’ve known two individuals who’ve had it so far. One was my grandmother, and the other is my wife’s grandmother. Alzheimers drugs were useless in the case of my grandmother. I think it was because the illness was simply too far advanced for medication to work effectively. On the other hand, it was a bit different with my wife’s grandmother. She is still alive and kicking at the age of 84. The problem is that her condition grows worse as time moves forward. The Alzheimers drugs apparently wore off because things got hairy, when my wife and her mother went to visit the old woman in Germany last year. They were all sleeping in her grandmother’s home when she suddenly jumped out of bed and started ranting. The old woman thought that her daughter and my wife were communists or something. She was suddenly acting like she was in WWII. They decided to cut the trip short because the ineffectiveness of Alzheimers drugs was incredibly discouraging for her daughter. Fortunately, Alzheimers drugs are improving as time passes. Many people are hoping that there will be new breakthroughs and better medications for this disease. Hopefully, there will be a cure for this relentless illness, by the time I hit that ripe golden age. However, the somewhat effective Alzheimers drugs are all we have until then. Wholesale Wedding Flowers

By Eddie Tobey Once the wedding has been arranged, the wedding flowers chosen and the arrangements decided upon, its time to find the source of flowers in the locality. Flowers from the Farmers Market: Many cities have summer farmer’s markets where fresh flowers are sold. This is a great way to get flowers without the hassles of finding a wholesale market. The best way is to go through the local vendors to check the prices and selection, then choose the vendor who is appropriate. Purchasing Flowers at a Wholesale Market: flowers should be purchased from the wholesale market whenever possible. Located in large metropolitan areas, they often sell flowers to the public after the wholesale buyers are done. They are a bargain. Flowers from Grocery Stores: for smaller weddings one might rely on the floral department of the local grocery store. There one can find flowers in many colors and prices. Flowers from Mail Order: There are some wonderful mail-order sources for flowers today. But they are accompanied by shipping expenses and worries about the condition of flowers and their timely arrival. Flowers from Local Florists: This is a great source for flowers, although they may be somewhat more expensive than other outlets. The quality may be better. One will also have the option to order things like garlands, arches, altar arrangements, corsages, and other specialty flowers. Greens: one should not forget to order large quantities of greenery. It will fill in centerpieces, add a background to large altar arrangements, and act as a collar around bridal bouquets. It’s a good idea to order extra bundles of greens in case any stems are damaged or some bunches are smaller than others. Once the flowers have been bought, it is very important to look after them. The best flower care tips can be accumulated from the vendor who sold the flowers. Wedding Flowers provides detailed information about wedding flowers, fall wedding flowers, silk wedding flowers, spring wedding flowers and more. Creating a Jewelry Website Inexpensively and Easily

By Alan Reisch Building a new website to display and sell your unique jewelry doesn’t have to be a frightening or expensive experience. In fact, you can create a fully functioning e-commerce site for less than a few hundred dollars, and you don’t have to be a programming genius. In fact, you don’t even have to know basic html code or any other computer programming language. However, you do need a good web design program. If you are new to building a website make sure you find a program that is WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get). A few different companies have similar programs available for around $50. If you don’t have the time or inclination to learn computer language then you will want a program that converts what you design or type on a page into html code. Basically, you design how you would like things to look on your web pages and then the program converts your web pages into code before uploading them to your web host. A reliable web host is very important. Today, it seems like everyone has a web hosting service, but not all web hosts are the same, so take a little time to do some research. A couple of key features to look for are uptime and customer service. The last thing you want to have is a website that can’t be viewed because your host is down. Secondly, if a problem does occur, you want to be able to have someone readily available to help you. Most web design programs will have a “suggested” or “preferred” provider and while you are not obligated to use them, some features of their program may work much easier with their “preferred” provider. When you decide upon a web host, you will also need to think of a domain name for your site. Once again, take a little time to think of a creative name that is easy to remember. It may mean the difference between a visitor and someone that wants to visit your site but can’t remember your name. Next, it you don’t have a digital camera, you will probably want to get one. This will be your biggest expense, but a digital camera makes it so much easier to load pictures to your website. Digital cameras have improved so much that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to be able to take good quality pictures. Also, keep in mind, your digital camera can be used for many other photo opportunities as well as taking great photographs of your handcrafted jewelry. Finally, you can utilize PayPal for e-commerce and free shopping cart technology. They will charge a small percentage on each sale, but if you have a premier or business account no other charges will be incurred. I am sure other options are available, but I am most familiar and comfortable with PayPal. I hope this helps you with the basics of starting a jewelry website. I think you will find it can be an enjoyable and rewarding experience for your hobby or business. Good luck to you. Celebrity Hairstyles and Hairstyle Trends

By Natalie Aranda As we said good-bye to 2005 we also said good-bye to the top 2005 Celebrity hairstyles. Everywhere you looked, you could see celebrities with many different and fashionable hairstyles from short and sweet to long and elegant, from curly or wavy to up-styles. No matter what the style these celebrities were wearing, they made a fashion statement that everyone else followed after. Two of the most popular celebrities that hit the scene were Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez. Each of these celebrities had a hairstyle that no one else could touch and until recently, many of us only dreamed we could have a Jennifer Aniston Sedu hairstyle or a Jennifer Lopez Sedu hairstyle. The secret behind their gorgeous hairstyle is of course partly due to the sedu flat iron, not to mention what they do prior to using this wonderful sedu flat iron. They both must use a conditioning shampoo and then dry well and again add more conditioning to assist in straightening their hair and making it very soft and flexible. The next step in the Jennifer Aniston sedu hairstyle is to add equal parts of shaping gel and calming serum massaged into the hair. Using a big round hairbrush and your blow dryer, you will be simulating how Jennifer Lopez sedu hairstyle is created. The next thing these two Celebrities have done is the flattening with the sedu flat iron. Now if we decide to wear a Jennifer Aniston sedu hairstyle or a Jennifer Lopez sedu hairstyle we can have practically the same except we will be creating the style in the privacy of our homes without all those expensive stylists, unless we have the desire to go out and find one that will treat us just as special. Will the 2006 hairstyles give us the same great looks with celebrity hairstyles or is there a change a coming? The new in fashion for celebrity hairstyles, or what designers are saying, is that short hair is coming back in style. The bob is one of the hairstyles that is making its way to the big screen and all around Hollywood. This celebrity hairstyle is easy to manage, looks great, and may become the top 2006 hairstyle. Curls are coming back as well in all kinds of lengths from short to long and romantic. I guess we will have to wait and see if the Jennifer Aniston sedu hairstyle or the Jennifer Lopez sedu hairstyle will be one of the prominent celebrity hairstyles in 2006 or if someone else with a bob style or a curly style makes the headlines. Natalie Aranda writes about health and beauty. Women have the desire to have their hair looking gorgeous each and every day and that is why female consumers spend billions of dollars each year buying hairstyling products. Will the 2006 hairstyles give us the same great looks with celebrity hairstyles or is there a change a coming? Why Exercise And Diets Don’t Work Today – Part 3 Of 3

By Greg Brookes In part 2 of this 3 part series I outlined our necessity to exercise correctly using only natural movements, to speed up our metabolism and regulate our blood sugars. These 3 basic principles are not some latest fad that will come and go like the huge array of diet or workout books you find on the bookshelves today, rather these are based on biological fact on how the body is designed to move, process and utilise foods. In part 2 I explained how our exercise routine needs to consist of a number of natural movements based on human movement: walk, jog, sprint, bend, squat, push, twist and pull. Performing all these movement hits all our muscles (over 600) and so burns more calories but also helps stimulate those muscles into burning fat even when we are not exercising. So you burn fat at the gym and also when you are resting afterwards. Performing these natural movements also trains our body to be more proficient at these movements and so we feel better during our normal day too. Posture improves, lower back pain disappears, general fatigue reduces and flexibility improves all from performing movements our body is designed to perform but I guess that would make sense right? The days of performing unnatural movements on gym machines should now be over but the multi-million pound industry just wont let it die! I am reluctant to reveal an exact exercise programme because everybody is different and should have a full biomechanical assessment and have professional supervision before commencing with any exercise routine. However, to give you some idea your programme may look like this: a) Squats with overhead press 3 x 10 b) Pull ups 3 x 8 c) Lunges 3 x10 each leg d) Press Ups 3 x 10 e) Deadlifts with single arm 3 x 8 f) Woodchops with medicine ball 3 x10 each side This routine runs at quite a quick pace with minimal rest taken in between each set of exercises. Your heart will beat fast and you will get tired but its fun and effective. The great news is that it will only take you 30 minutes and youll have hit all those muscles and given your heart and lungs a good workout too! I would have you perform this 3 times a week only. Now for your diet. I explained in part 2 how it was important to raise your metabolism by eating small meals often and also balance your blood sugars by avoiding fast releasing sugar. These 2 principles are very important but so too is exactly what you eat. Over the years the world has changed quite considerably and so too have the foods available at our supermarkets. Our bodies however, have not changed that much, we are still designed to eat foods that we can pick off trees, dig out of the ground or chase down and kill. Sadly with the introduction of a faster lifestyle we have lost our ability to prepare natural foods and often opt for simple pre packaged food that has been pumped full of chemicals to increase its shelf life and taste. These chemicals are aliens to our body and not only result in an internal stress response but also get stored with our body fat intoxicating our insides. Losing weight and feeling healthy is not about reducing fat or eating like a bird but about eating natural foods that we are designed to eat. Eat natural and the body will take care of the rest. Avoid diet foods (they are filled with more chemicals to make them taste nice), check labels for added sugar, salt, preservatives, flavourings. Go organic and so avoid hormones, nutrient free foods, and chemicals. Throw out the margarines and buy proper organic butter, your body understands this natural food and can process it more efficiently. All of my clients take a metabolic typing test that identifies exactly what type of foods they are designed to eat based upon their background eg. people originating from the Mediterranean with utilise foods differently than people from Northern Europe. However, here is a simple example of how your diet may look: Breakfast Porridge + Banana, Oat Muesli + Natural Yoghurt, Eggs and Smoked Salmon Lunch Chicken Salad, Tuna Sandwich on Rye, Salmon + Cous Cous or Quinoa, Omelette Dinner Chicken, Fish, Pork, Beef with Vegetables, Lentils, Brown Rice etc. Snacks Nuts, Organic Natural Yoghurt, Seeds, Fruit Plan your meals in advance and keep your diet varied, order organic produce to be delivered so you have no excuses, choose foods of various colours and dont overcook foods so the nutrients remain. Very importantly, drink 1.5 2 litres per day of Natural Water. As a freelance personal trainer I have used these methods and seen results over and over again all over the world from Europe to the USA. Not only do my clients lose weight and improve their overall health but they do it in an educational way that keeps the weight off for a longer duration. Good luck, keep exercising naturally and eating pure and nutrient enriched foods, this way you can reach your maximum potential in whatever you do.
